Each year on August 21, we celebrate the National Senior Citizens Day at school. It is an attempt to support, honor and display appreciation to our seniors and to recognize their achievements.
Today our little ones welcomed senior citizen in the morning with a self-made token of love followed by planting small plants in the school garden.
This was accompanied by dramatization in the common assembly to discuss the important of the Day with children.
Childrens were taught how the constant guidance and advise by our elderly show us the right path and prevent us from making mistakes. We can best demonstrate our gratitude by making sure that our communities are good places to mature and grow older ” places in which older people can participate to the fullest and find the encouragement, acceptance, assistance, and services they need to continue to lead lives of independence and dignity.
As the day came to a close, a plant was given to each and every senior to recognize their investment in us right from the day we were born.
We, at Prudence, salute the selfless spirit of the elderly and wish them a healthy and joyful life.
