Let our religions unite us for human kindness rather than dividing us on what we believe. Eid Mubarak Hockson Floin
Eid is a festival of prayers, joy, happiness, and brotherhood. Eid is a sacred celebration when the Muslims come together and hug each other with promises of charity, kindness, harmony and brotherhood. This festival is not about being happy but to make others happy and nurture their desires. To observe this pious Muslim festival, students from grades II and IV organised a special morning assembly. The celebrations began with an informative presentation by the students in which they explained the meaning, purpose and importance of Ramzan and the subsequent celebration of Eid. One of the students recited a poem on Eid which reaffirmed our faith in humanity and equality. After this wonderful poem, the stories and rituals associated with the occasion were displayed with a spectacular drama by the students. The programme came to an end with the fantabulous dance performance and their warm greetings of Eid Mubarak'.
The special assembly was successful in conveying the significance of Eid and was much appreciated by the Vice Principal Ma'am, Ms Smriti Nanda who encouraged children to follow the path of peace, love and friendship.
