Prudence believes that a degree alone is not enough. In today's era, employers are looking for more than just technical skills and knowledge of a degree discipline. They particularly value skills such as communication, team-working and problem solving. Therefore, our curriculum is designed in such a way that complements the academic studies by providing another way of learning outside the classroom. Students of Prudence Dwarka 16 B culminated their learning of work experience under the chosen disciplines.
The learning of Dramatics culminated with impromptu role-plays wherein students manifested social issues like poverty, drug abuse, domestic violence, female foeticide etc. It helped in improving verbal and nonverbal communication like vocal projection, articulation, tone of speech and expression. It also helped in developing listening and observation skills.
Robotics provided a set of experience to facilitate the students' development of knowledge. The students worked together to plan and build a new robot using iPitara kit which shows their creativity and imaginative skills. It helped students to develop teamwork andco-operation skills.
Astronomy sessions enhanced the scientific temper and problem solving skills in students. It was a great experiential learning and enlightening experience for the students wherein they reached a pinnacle by launching of hydro rocket using water as fuel, forming3D images using 3D goggles, measuring distance and time using 4 different types of yantras, learnt to use various telescopes etc.
Fine arts develops aesthetics among the students. Students prepared bookmarks, impressions using POPand created beautiful flowers, photo frames and greeting cards.
Meal planning is basically what we call enhancing our kitchen culinary with lot of creativity involved in it. Along with the fellow students, Children learnt how to prepare a variety of dishes, pair foods, use utensils and measurements, understand recipes and basic vocabulary, utilize safe cooking methods, and explore what foods/recipes promote healthy living. They presented various dishes and drinks learnt in the session in a creative manner. On the whole this culmination was the perfect example of creativity and imagination.
