Inter Class Debate Competition (Grade 8)
“Speech is power: speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel.”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
Debate is one of the academic activities that give students creative room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled. Prudence School has set the benchmark for conducting activities in such a way that the students not only enjoy but also learn a great deal from it. With the same perspective in view, the Inter-Class Debate Competition for students of grades VIII was organized. Participants argued for and against the motion, and a few participated as interjectors. The participants, armed with statistics and data, validated and made their arguments more convincing with right facial expressions and gestures. All the teams exhibited great oratorical skills. They put in tremendous efforts to showcase their hidden talent. The heated but interesting debate session which lasted for over an hour, concluded with the announcement of winners. The event gave an impetus to the inquisitive and energetic students of Prudence school Dwarka 16b and inculcated in them a spirit of competitiveness and confidence.
