Science is intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behaviour of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment. Today's students are tomorrow's scientists and these young minds were given opportunity to show their scientific aptitude in an exhibition organized by Prudence School in first week of November 2018. Students from grade VI to X participated in the event. Around eighty exhibits were there.
Students displayed and explained the working models and performed experiments based on different concepts of Science. Topics like optical illusion, hydraulics, fun with magnets, ignition temperature mirrors and lenses attracted the audience. Cold drink dispenser, dry ice rocket, electromagnetic bell and hologram were the showstoppers. There were models like water harvesting, wind energy, solar energy and bioluminescence that focused on solving present environment problems.
This Science exhibition helped the students to develop skills to plan and organize ideas. Students learnt to work in group and utilize their time. Preparations of the models helped in improving their dextral skills. Students also develop patience as at times they fail in achieving their goals but with perseverance they succeed. It was an enriching experience for the students and teachers.
